Skippers Meeting With the Race Officer
The race director Bjorn Saragoza - the former multi discipline windsurfing champion - from Bonaire in charge as the Race Officer, sets out the daily racing schedule and oversee the down wind slalom races directly from the water together with the local Hi-Winds crew.

Nathan Westera ARU-8
Recently returned to Racing Mode, and also one of the strongest upcoming talents in the international youth slalom racing scene. Now dominates the Youth division of this Championships on home waters.
MR STORM NB-2008
Another new kid on the block, (his name says it all) representing the island of Bonaire in the Junior U15 division with good starts, careful jibes and great board speed.
Terrance Clappers NB-99
The athlete that came with a mission to challenge himself with a set of new gear, after recently getting back in to slalom racing activities on his Future Fly Dark Horse, unfortunately was pushing hard , but not enough for local Nathan Westera.
The Chill Spot Before the Races
The start boat is located just about 400 meters from the beach, where it is still shallow enough to stand. Athletes in waiting position cheering on each other as youths fly across the start line.
Arthur van Aalst CUR-40
Representing Curacao and came for the fun of slalom racing here in Aruba. Arthur also helped organize the IFCA ABC Tour stop in Curacao 3 years ago.

Both Marja and Pascalle are the behind the scene ladies for the windsurfing part at the Aruba Hi-Winds. Taking care of the 2022 IFCA SA-PA Championships, Longdistance Marathon Races and the Super Kids races closer to the beach. Well basically, everything else that has to do with windsurfing on the island of Aruba.
