A RELAXING FIRST DAY IN TURKEY

Relaxing atmosphere welcomes over 100 competitors from 10 different nations and 3 continents for this years MEDICANA 2022 IFCA Junior Youth & Masters Slalom World Championships in Cesme Alacati at the ION Club Alacati with thanks to Turkish Windsurf Training and partners.

The opening ceremony was held after the registration period yesterday on the event site and the event was officially announced open including opening speeches from; The Genereal Manager of Medicana Health group followed by the Major of Cesme region, the Chairman of the board of the World Wide Fund for Nature WWF and representing the IFCA Class Eric Kling.

In the Women division the tense vibes are on as the defending Junior World Champion Elif Erkan TUR-571 and worth mentioning that she also is the current 2022 Slalom Junior European Champion.

On site we also have the strong French Mae Davico FRA-203 who is The 2021 Slalom Youth Women Vice World Champion.

And last but not least the 2021 World Championships Youth Women 3rd Place and the current 2022 Youth Women European Slalom Champion Justine Lemeteyer FRA-171.

This year its all Open for the Youth Men and Junior Boys Titles with no defending Champions present it will be interesting to learn more after the first completed elimination. 

An official Masters Slalom World Title has also returned during this Championships and the excitement level is high among the Masters competitors.

This Championship also sets the right phase and is first time experience for a large group of new generation windsurfers mainly from the hosting country which will test their acknowledge skills with the international fleet of windsurfers.
