IFCA SLALOM CHAMPIONSHIPS DEVELOP IN PARACAS

THE SOUTH AMERICAN AND PANAMERICAN IFCA SLALOM CHAMPIONSHIPS DEVELOP IN PARACAS

Slalom Windsurfing, one of the most popular and competitive windsurfing discipline in the world, arrives again in Peru on the occasion of the ‘2018 Paracas IFCA South American & Pan-American Slalom Championship’, an event that will take place from December 15 to 19 in the tourist waters of the Paracas Bay, the Peruvian Windsurf Association announced at a press conference held at the Salón de las Américas of the National Stadium.

In this South American and Pan-American IFCA Slalom Championship in Paracas, windsurfers will compete among the best in the world. Such as the representative of Aruba, Ethan Westera ARU-4, the 2017 IFCA Slalom World Champion.

Although the competition promises to be very close and has the participation of about 40 representatives from Argentina, Aruba, Brazil, Colombia, Curacao and Peru; and France, as an invited country; our athletes promise to give a first class show and demonstrate all the national talents.

In the Peruvian team Alessio Botteri PER-20, who is currently located in the fourth place of the IFCA World Raking for Men Slalom, and will be the main player to reach the 2018 South American Title, and even the Pan American.

In the Women division, María Belén Bazo PER-50, our Peruvian representative in Olympic windsurfing and the current South American Championship and is a great candidate to obtain a medal at the 2019 Pan-American Games in Lima. She is determined to demonstrate that she can achieve a title in other disciplines too.
