MULTIVAN WINDSURF CUP PRESENTS DATES FOR 2022

The Multivan Windsurf Cup is the highest national windsurfing series in Germany. The regattas are embraced by huge events that can easily withstand the comparison with many world cups. Competitors from foreign countries are not only allowed but very welcome at the regatta. Many athletes from different countries regularly take the chance to challenge the German windsurfing elite. Now the dates for next years tour have been published. In 2022 the series consists out of five events on some of the most beautiful beaches in Germany.

The kick-off event will take place in Kellenhusen at the Baltic Sea on the Whitsun weekend from June 4th to 6th. The venue has already hosted tour stops of the Multivan Windsurf Cup several times and has become one of the most popular locations for riders. Kellenhusen offers a family atmosphere and perfect conditions for windsurfers. Since the tour stop takes place during the Whitsun holidays, many thousands of visitors can be expected.

From the Bay of Lübeck on the Baltic Sea, the Multivan Windsurf Cup tour then takes you all the way west to the rough North Sea. On the Corpus Christi weekend, from June 16 to 19, the series will be guest on the North Sea island of Borkum. After a break of over twenty years, the Multivan Windsurf Cup returned to Borkum for its final event this year. The North Sea island gave the windsurfing elite spectacular conditions. On all days of the event, the athletes were challenged on the water. Borkum is one of the main holiday destinations for guests from West Germany. For many, the island is one of the first spots on the open North Sea. Since Corpus Christi is a public holiday in this area of Germany, the date for the Windsurf Cup was chosen favorably. Numerous holidaymakers make a pilgrimage to Borkum every year on this date and now they can enjoy the Multivan Windsurf Cup there.

The Multivan Windsurf Cup will stay on the North Sea afterwards. But it heads on to Schleswig-Holstein. From July 7th to 10th, the windsurfers will be guests in the surfer Eldorado St. Peter-Ording. The unique location in the middle of the only beach in Germany that can be driven on with a car always gives the event a special flair. Due to the open location, the wind probability is very high. The tour stop in St. Peter-Ording is also the last opportunity to determine your position in the ranking list before the German Championship on Sylt. When the event takes place in July, it is high season and many federal states are on vacation. This gives the Multivan Windsurf Cup St. Peter-Ording an impressive crowd.

Traditionally, the Multivan Surf Cup Sylt takes place on the last weekend in July as the highlight of the season. The legendary Brandenburg beach in Westerland will be transformed into a windsurfing paradise for six days from July 26th to 31st. The Multivan Surf Cup Sylt has a unique atmosphere. No other event has so many windsurfing fans come and watch the competitions on the water. At the same time, numerous exhibitors and caterers invite you to browse and feast on the Westerland promenade.

For the season finale, it’s all east again close to the Polish border on the last weekend in August. From August 26th to 28th it will be decided who will take home the victory in the Multivan Windsurf Cup 2022. Zinnowitz has already proven itself several times as a tour stop. At all tour stops, in addition to the windsurfing competitions, a large supporting and evening program is again planned.
