Day 3 brought another day of changing conditions and plenty of action at the 2026 IFCA Fin Slalom European Championships in Hvide Sande.
After a slow and sunny start, the wind gradually built before dropping and returning again, keeping the sailors and race committee on their toes. Once racing got underway, the fleet made the most of the conditions, with Justine Lemétayer FRA-171 taking race 10 and more important points going on the board.
In the Men’s fleet, Nicolas Prien GER-7 continued his impressive run and remains at the top after another strong day. Sacha Fortune FRA-655 moved up into second, while Brendan Lorho FRA-113 is now third.
Taty Frans NB-9 holds fourth, with Thiémé FRA-888 breaking into the Top 5.
Nico was once again on fire in Elimination 6, winning all three of his heats taking his incredible tally to 16 heat wins from 18 so far.
The Women’s leader board remains equally interesting, with Jenna Gibson GBR-96 continuing to lead.
Justine Lemétayer FRA-171 and Femke vd Veen NED-2251 are now tied on points, setting up a close battle for second place.
With an early start planned tomorrow and wind expected in the morning, Day 4 could bring another big shake-up especially in the Men’s fleet, where the third discard comes into play after seven completed eliminations.
