2025 IFCA JYM FIN & FOIL Slalom European Championships Viganj, Croatia
Thermal winds deliver a full day of action as titles begin to take shape.
Day 3 brought exactly what everyone had been waiting for, wind, racing, and full energy on and off the water.
Viganj delivered a perfect day, starting with a full round of Foil Slalom in steady 11–14 knots, followed by Fin Slalom races in the afternoon as the wind strengthened.


Morning Foil Highlights
With clean conditions and smooth thermal breeze, the foil fleet smoothly opened the day:

Afternoon Fin Slalom:
As the wind ramped up to 16–19 knots with gusts reaching 21 knots, it was go time for the fin racers. Even when the wind later dropped slightly to 14–18 knots, it stayed consistent enough to complete a full round of Fin Slalom across all categories.
Fin Division Standouts:

Junior Girls: Damla Kurtdemir (TUR-2201) continues her strong form, now leading after 6 races and 2 discards.

Junior Boys: Tycho Smits (NB-1111) made a big comeback after 1 discard and now leads the division.

Youth Women: Charlotte Philipe (FRA-1194) remains at the top after another day of tight racing.

Youth Men: Sacha Fortune (FRA-655) is showing real championship form, fending off serious pressure from emerging talent and delivering strong performances across semis and finals.
On the Beach:
Energy remained high throughout the day as spectators lined the shore to cheer racers crossing the finish line right in front of the venue — a fantastic atmosphere that captured the spirit of Viganj.
Looking Ahead:
The forecast for Day 5 looks slightly lighter, but still raceable. With momentum building and titles still wide open, the action continues tomorrow!
