ALL IN FLOW FOR THE 2022 SLALOM WORLDS IN PAROS
previous post
During the registration day 55 competitors from 12 Nations have registered and are ready to race for this years World Sailing approved Windsurfing Slalom World Titles. During the first day the athletes got their gear prepared, some did a few light wind testing rounds and attended the opening ceremony held at the Hotel Sponsor Selina Paros, followed by a meet and greet party.
The Athletes of interest are some who are already familiar with this location such as; Maciek Rutkowski POL-23, Sarah Jackson GBR-71, Jordy Vonk NED-69, Jenna Gibson GBR-96, Basile Jaquine FRA-894, Jimmy Thieme FRA-888, Olivia Rosique FRA-309, Ingmar Daldorf NED-191 and Francesco Scagliola ITA-353 including all of team Greece.
But also some new comers and first timers to watch out for such as; Cedric Bordes FRA-91, Fabienne Hogenndam NED-223, Taty Frans NB-9, Adela Rakova CZE-77 and Femke van der Veen NED-2251.
The forecast this season is somewhat unusual and this probably counts for several locations around the globe, however some wind is predicted and a lot more later towards the end of this championship. The first competition day was a relaxing one. There was a little excitement during noon, but just not suitable to start the official championship. To sum it up it was a day on standby, a day for relaxing and no further comments.
