A smooth start of the day quickly turned into an action packed afternoon.
The wind finally came trough right after the Lunch buffet provided by Main sponsor Paal 17.
The water crew was pretty much excited, ready and prepared. Heat 3 of the World Championship could finally kick off with increasing winds from 14 knots all the way up to 20 knots. The wind slightly shifted after a few heats were sailed, but the course was adjusted and the competitions could smoothly continue with a few OCS and Zero Protest.
Just a few disappointments for some top competitors with great skills who failed to qualify into the A Final:
Andrea Rosati from Italy, Alessio Botteri from Peru, Maciek Rutkowski from Poland with an OCS in Heat 14 and Twan Verseput from the Netherlands.
Today’s top 8 Finalists are those who performed with great skill, tomorrow will be very interesting to see who will remain on top of their game.
