BASILE JACQUIN THREATENS TO DEFEND HIS 2019 TITLE

Since the beginning of this Covid situation, it’s very difficult for organizers to make this kind of event happen. So I’m freaking happy to compete in Greece Paros for my first time. From what I heard it’s a great spot with friendly people.

Gear set up:
As we are not allowed to use a foil for this IFCA racing format it’s gonna be more simple in terms of gear choice. It’s a spot that can produce light and strong wind conditions. So I guess I’m gonna bring everything from 8.6 down to 6.2 maybe 5.6 depending on the forecast predictions. My Invictus 98-118-138 will be at the party for sure!

Expectations:

MY GOAL IS SURELY TO DEFEND MY TITLE.

I know there will be some pretty big names, so I’m gonna try to race the best I can and be happy with whatever the result.

Closure:
Thanks to the organizer for this event, because as I said before it’s very hard to actually have an event these days. “We are racers this is what we love to do and with not so many races around for the last 2 years is always nice to be able to compete again.” Big thanks to my sponsor (Point7, FMX racing, Sooruz, and Phantom foil) for the support and I can’t wait to be racing this September 🙂

In 2020 Basile remained the defending Champion as he was crowned 2019 Slalom World Champion in Sylt Germany. Event Recap Page : HERE
