5 – 9 June 2024

Texel, Netherlands

On June 8th, the 45th edition of the Round Texel Race will take place on the beach near Paal17.

In addition to the well-known Round the Island race, sailed by catamarans, windsurfers, and wingfoilers, the organization announces that the watersports event is expanding with two international titles. Alongside various Dutch National Championship titles supported by the Dutch Watersports Federation, this year Round Texel will host the World Championship Marathon Wingfoiling under the flag of the IWSA and the European Championship Marathon Windsurfing under the flag of the IFCA (for men and women). Both titles are supported by World Sailing, the international governing body for the sport of sailing. With the addition of these two new international titles, Round Texel is taking a significant step in organizing professional watersports. The absolute world top in wingfoiling and windsurfing will travel to Texel in early June for this event. From Wednesday, June 5th, the competition will kick off on the water near Paal17 with various races along the coast. On Saturday, June 8th, both classes will also compete in the Round Texel Race as the ultimate finale.
