CLOSELY TO RACING ON DAY 4 AT THE 2018 Y&M WORLDS IN ITALY

The titles of The 2018 IFCA Slalom Youth & Master World Champions will be assigned on Saturday

A lot of thunderstorms in the afternoon have ruined this day of racing again for the IFCA Youth and Master Slalom World Championships, which will end on Saturday at the Circolo Surf Torbole Club, on Garda Trentino. Even today, when in the early afternoon a pretty good-to-sail south wind seemed to be blowing, several storms approached from north and west, forcing the FIV race committees (ready to give the starting procedures for the B finals of the Junior division) to head back to the harbor.

Saturday will be the last day of the competition and the schedule for  the first possible start is set at 7:00 am for the Youth division (U-21), clearly hoping for a good north wind, which usually blows in the morning on Lake Garda. Only one race course will be then positioned and the athletes will try to compete their elimination races in this division order: Youth, Master, Junior and Girl. The organizers, together with the two FIV Presidents of the Race Committees, Claudio Alessandrello and Ezio Ferin, and all the technical staff – will try everything to give the opportunity to do other races, although the Championships with two eliminations closed are still valid.

If a third elimination for Youth and Master divisions will be accomplished, they will receive one discard which is really important for the final rankings. The Girls and Juniors already completed 3 eliminations and might start with the fourth one tomorrow.
