Early Start and Foil Racing Commencement on Day 3 while the Day 2 was met with unfavorable weather conditions as rain and overcast skies persisted throughout the entire day. Athletes were eventually released. Day 3 dawned with renewed enthusiasm as the event kicked off with an early morning start.

From the 20th to the 24th of September 2023, Torbole, Italy, a well-known and famous windsurfing location in central Europe, will serve as the epicenter of this exciting event.

The IFCA Slalom European Championship within the Multivan Windsurf Cup Borkum was a great success. The event was endowed with a total of 10,000 euros in prize money. 9.000 Euro by the Nordseeheilbad Borkum GmbH and additionally 1.000 Euro within the “Grand Prix of the LVM Versicherung”. Nearly 40 participants from 14 different nations had registered. The only drawback of an otherwise ideal event was that the wind was unfortunately not strong enough for the second discipline Fin Slalom to take place.

As the registration day unfolds, the excitement continues to grow. Athletes from over 10 countries have flocked to La Salina, Calasetta, with more than 70 participants already registered for the event. The international flavor of the championships is recognizable as windsurfers from different corners of the world come together in anticipation of thrilling competition.

The IFCA Slalom Europeans will draw a lot of attention. IFCA is the only body that offers separate disciplines for fin slalom and foil slalom. The participants may decide if they compete in one or the other discipline or even in both. So the riders may follow their personal preferences. So the IFCA Europeans will give Foiling experts the chance to shine. Fin enthusiasts may blast over the water and universal riders can have a double chance.
