2019 IFCA SLALOM Y&W WORLDS DAY 1: RACES POSTPONED DUE TO LIGHT WINDS

First Races postponed due to light winds

The first competition day in La Tranche sur Mer was all about tryouts, as teasing conditions kept most of the competitors ashore. The two-course areas were set and both race committees were on standby on the water with hopes of starting the first races if the opportunity would arrive.

A few competitors took the opportunity to have some fun and tuning sessions in winds from 7 to 11 knots which unfortunately was not suitable enough to start the championship.

Tomorrow’s forecast looks slightly better for the early mornings and that is why the skippers meeting for the second competition day is set for …08:00 and the first start scheduled for 08:30.

  • Total competitors 143
  • Continents 3
  • Countries 14
