APPENDIX TO 2018 IFCA AGM AGENDA

Production Sail Registration Scheme

  • 5 euro per registered sail.
  • Sails shall carry the sail button/sticker issued by the IFCA attesting that the class fee has been paid, located at the bottom of each sail.
  • 5 euro/sail to be paid by the manufacturer to IFCA.
  • An online payment system to be set up.
  • Brand list, by model and size, to be published on class website.Competitors using sails from manufacturers that have not yet paid may be charged the fee at event registration.

Age Group revision

The proposal assumes a re-alignment of age divisions for men and women – it makes no sense to have different age divisions for male and female.

The revised structure has already been adopted by Raceboard Class and is a proposal also to be voted at the forthcoming Formula Windsurfing AGM.

Class Development

Under the proposals below, IFCA – under its current Constitution as a class association – would be responsible for, and manage, more than one “Class” as defined by World Sailing. In the same way that the Techno Class Association manages 2 “classes” (T293 and T293 Plus) IFCA can manage 2 or more classes.

IFCA Youth Racing Class

As the current Youth and Masters Championships structure clearly illustrates there is demand for titles in Youth Women and Junior, not just Youth men.

IFCA Expression Class

Current class rules do not adequately cover development of this discipline within IFCA. The encouraging recent developments within EFPT clearly demand this class is formed.

IFCA Foiling Class

Developing the youth class will free up a world title to be allocated to IFCA Foiling. Both Youth Class and Foiling Worlds could be achieved for the 2019 competition calendar.
